We want you to always know what you're paying and why. This article covers both ways to buy from us, a one-time purchase and Subscribe to Save. It explains the prices you'll see on our website, why they can change, and how we price-match your subscription.
What does RRP mean?
RRP is the recommended retail price of a product. It's the price we normally sell our products for on our website when the item is not on sale and you've chosen the 'one-time purchase' option.
When you can buy an item for less than its RRP, we show the RRP crossed out next to the price you'll pay, so you can see how much you're saving. That happens when:
- the item is on sale, or
- you've chosen the 'Subscribe to Save' option.
One-time purchase prices
The one-time purchase price is what you pay for a single order with no subscription. Most of the time it's the RRP, unless the item is on sale.
Why prices can change during the day
From time to time, we check prices across the market and adjust our own website prices to stay competitive. This means an item can go on or off sale at any time, sometimes more than once in a day.
We can't guarantee to match every price you see elsewhere, but we always do our best to offer you a competitive deal.
The price you pay is the price shown when you place your order. Our checkout displays this price to you before any payment is processed.
Subscription prices
When you choose the 'Subscribe to Save' option on our website, you get a discount on your first order and on every repeat order after it. Each product page shows the price for your first order, and the discount percentage for your future deliveries
Your subscription price is the item's one-time purchase price with your subscription discount taken off. So if the one-time purchase price changes, your subscription price changes with it.
'First subscription' offers
We may run a promotion for customers who haven't subscribed with us before. Unless the offer says otherwise:
- the discount applies to the first delivery of your subscription only
- later deliveries are charged at the product's price when each order is processed, with your subscription discount on top
- the discount code must be applied at checkout, before payment is taken
- you must be eligible, for example by never having created a subscription with us before
Check the offer for any additional terms and conditions that may also apply.
If you subscribe during a sale
Your first order gets the sale price, plus your subscription discount on top. Once the sale ends, your future orders go back to the non-sale price, still with your subscription discount.
If a price goes up
We'll always give you at least 7 days' notice by email before your order is due. If a price goes up within 7 days of your order, you'll still pay the old price for that order. Any change only affects later orders, unless you update your subscription, such as by swapping a product, at which point the current price of that product applies.
If a price goes down
If an item goes on sale on our website, we'll price-match your subscription to the sale price automatically, with your subscription discount on top. This doesn't include discounts that need a discount code. Our Subscriber Price Guarantee below explains when and how it works.
Loyalty points & discount rewards
You earn loyalty points with every order, and you can use them for rewards such as discounts on future subscription orders. Once you've redeemed a discount reward, apply it to the subscription you want to use it on, and it will come off your next order.
Please be aware that if a loyalty reward discount takes your order below the minimum spend for free delivery, a delivery charge may apply. This is more likely if your subscription order is already close to that minimum.
Our Subscriber Price Guarantee
If there's a sale on an item on our website, we'll price-match your subscription to it automatically. You'll pay the lowest price on our website when your order is processed, with your subscription discount on top.
How it works
- Price checks: starting 7 days before your order is due, we check your subscription against our website prices at set times. The price in your account may not update straight away when a sale starts.
- Final check: on the day your order is due, we do one last check. If the website price is lower, we lower your subscription price before we take payment.
Using the 'Send Now' feature
If you use Send Now to get your order sooner, you'll pay the price shown in your account at that moment.
If there's a sale on our website that isn't showing in your account yet, make a change to your subscription first, such as swapping your item. This updates your subscription to the latest price on our website. Then use Send Now.
Sales and free delivery
If price-matching a sale would take your order below the minimum spend for free delivery, we won't lower your subscription price for that order. That way you don't pay an extra delivery charge, which works out better for you.
Discount codes
Sometimes we offer discount codes that are only for certain customers, for example:
- email newsletter subscribers
- new customers, on their first order
- referral offers from a friend
- offers through our affiliate partners
Our price-match is based on the prices everyone sees on our website. It doesn't include discounts you can only get with a code, so a code someone else has used won't change your subscription price.
